On Friday we have the final of the Kilford Arms A2 525 which carries a winner’s prize of €2,000. I t promises to be a great final and one thing for sure is that its wide open. The big question is, can anyone stop Cashmans Cat??
Cashmans Cat has been a great servant to Danny & Breda McEvoy and to trainer Paul Hennessy. He is drawn trap 4 in the final and if he wins it will be an incredible 6 wins in a row for Cashmans Cat!! It’s a tough looking final though with kennel companion Mt Leinster hill drawn in trap 1, Mt Leinster Hill is a very fast hound but would much prefer a middle draw, he doesnt seem to get away as quick from Trap 1. Murt Leahy's Princess Gael is a very completive tough lady. She has drawn Trap 2 and she could lead around the opening bend and wont be easy to reel in. The same could be said for Derek Kehoe’s Slaneyside Pete who runs from Trap 3. He was the fastest 1st rd winner and is another who can fly to the bend. Pat Daltons New Boss finally got off the mark in the semi final and he did so in impressive fashion. This dog is still young and likely to improve and could easily shave another 2 lengths of his latest effort. That leaves Soldier Laddie in trap 6, a very competitive sort who can mix it with the best around the Kilkenny circuit. He’s badly drawn though and really must take a flyer from traps and rely on a bit of luck.
Fridays card will also have semi finals of the Track Bar A4 525 as well as 1st Rd Heats of the Big Fella A3 525.
There is plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks with 2 big benefit nights coming up, Kilkenny CBS and James Stephens Gaa Club.
We also have a brand new competition, the €5,500 Gain Feeds Open / D1 725 which has a winner’s prize of €2,250!! This is due to commence on Friday November 4th.
