On friday we have the Semi Finals of the Kilford Arms Hotel A2 525 which carries a winners prize of €2,000. Cashmans Cat has been some servant to owner Danny McEvoy and trainer Paul Hennessy and is going for an incredible 5 wins in a row. But as they know too well in Kilkenny, its not too easy to pull of a 5 in a row!!!
He faces a big test in the 1st semi final with kennel companion Mt Leinster Hill drawn in trap 2. The two kennel companions and Carrigcannon Duke are likely to dominate the 1st Semi Final. Fastest 1st rd winner Slaneyside Pete, Leigh Royal and Soldier Laddie are likely to feature in the 2nd semi final. It should be a good nights racing with 1st rd Heats of the Track Bar A4 525 and a decent looking open 525 featuring He Told Ted, Joey JoJo Junior, Sawdust Terry and Lewcas Thunder.
There was a very impressive debut last night by Sausage Dealer ( Barefoot Bolt - Who Told Marge). This March 2010 pup did a good 4.56 split and ran away to a 12 1/2 lenght victory in 29.21. Barefoot Bolt is an interesting recruit to stud and has already had a very bright start to his stud career. Stoney Rebel and Emmas Assurance are other Barefoot Bolt offsprings who have impressed around the Kilkenny circuit. Bolt a son of Permier Fantasy from a Top Honcho bitch is sure to be very popular with breeders in the coming months.
